Chicago high school students accepted to a college or university submit an essay describing why they are pursuing higher education and how that education will allow them to impact communities in Chicago. The scholars will work on their investment in the city service project, encourage their peers to pursue higher education and encourage young people to get involved and take ownership in their community.
We want to acknowledge and congratulate the winner of our 2019 Be The Scholar contest
